1. I will prepare myself in advance for future ills. When they occur, I will remind myself I am ready for this adversity.
2. I can choose a healthy emotional response to this test of my REBT philosophical skills.
3. Nobody is all good, nobody is all bad, but we all are fallible humans.
4. It is challenging to maintain a state of unconditional self-acceptance, but it is well worth the effort. The emotional well-being I experience when I accept my total self without any qualifications or conditions is well worth the effort. Keep striving for unconditional self-acceptance.
5. I will train my mind to only rate the parts and the behaviors that flow from those parts without giving myself a total score. This kind of specific rating is how I will learn how to do better in the future.
6. I defeat myself by believing that people and life must, must, absolutely must be as I want them to be. The universe is not listening to my rigid thinking.
